Recently, international media voted on the top 10 Lee Sin plays in League of Legends history. This clip captures some incredibly versatile uses of Lee Sin, including 1v2 and 1v3 plays by professional players using the Blind Monk in competitive matches. However, the clip quickly became a topic of controversy within the global League of Legends community.
It is evident that not every play in this list truly deserves to be called “the best in League of Legends history.” Furthermore, many of the plays featured utilize the famous combo of Lee Sin that almost every player using the Blind Monk knows well: the InSec combo. It should be noted that InSec is synonymous with this combo, as he was the one who frequently used it, the first to dare to bring this combo into a professional match and elevate it to legendary status. Yet, while the majority of the plays feature the Lee Sin InSec combo, the former KT Rolster star himself is conspicuously absent.

Another name, who was even honored by Riot in the 10th anniversary artwork of League of Legends alongside the champion Lee Sin, is SofM, who is also “left out.” Lee Sin can be said to be one of the champions that made SofM’s name, especially as he frequently used the combo of Dragon’s Rage – Sonic Wave – Tempest to finish off opponents. Even during the not-so-great 2021 season, every time SofM played Lee Sin, it was almost a guaranteed win for Suning.

Lee Sin is a champion that requires players to be quick-handed, sharp-eyed, and possess extremely high skills, but he is also a top name in creating highlight moments that go down in history, such as the legendary InSec combo. And in the long history of League of Legends, not only InSec or SofM but many other plays involving Lee Sin are equally dazzling. Therefore, not just a top 10, but possibly a top 20 or top 50 would be necessary to fully recount the extraordinary Lee Sin plays that have captured the hearts of fans.
