Ranking in League of Legends, as well as in other games, is an incredibly important factor that creates competition for each gamer. Additionally, in Esports, ranks are opportunities for teams to scout and discover young talents, future players for the professional scene. For regular gamers, the higher the rank, the more they can brag to others and receive accolades.

However, the environment at each rank level is vastly different. At higher ranks, players can find matches and encounter real masters, even professional players. But at lower ranks, most are just “playing for fun”, not caring about their rank, and a more negative aspect is encountering game disruptors, toxic players, or even those who… “don’t know how to play video games”.

Iron rank is the lowest rank in League of Legends. Almost all players at this rank are those who rarely climb the ranks, don’t care about trying hard, enjoy “disrupting games”, and most are extremely toxic. Yet recently, a player with the rather negative name “I Hate You” has been discovered to be extremely… persistent, even earning the title of “Iron Man” of Vietnamese League of Legends. Specifically, this player has won nearly 2000 matches (exactly 1930 matches) but is still struggling at the Iron rank. Not to mention, this player is also a “devotee” of the Dark Harvest rune, using it even on champions like Caitlyn.

It is unclear what the real reason is that this player has been stuck at Iron rank for so long. However, being able to withstand the quite toxic environment at a low rank for such an extended period shows that this player’s resilience is truly impressive.
