The community and renowned KOLs clarify the nature of the T1 – HLE bug
As known, in the clash on the evening of August 15 (Vietnam time), HLE lost to T1 with a score of 0-2. This is the third consecutive time HLE has failed to secure a single win against T1. However, the reigning World Champion’s victory has sparked controversy among some HLE fans due to the appearance of a bug before the decisive team fight in game 1, near the Baron pit. Nevertheless, many gamers and KOLs have spoken out about the incident.

Accordingly, a player in Vietnam tested using Teleport from the blood pool to the exact ward location of HLE and he also got displaced behind the wall like Zeus. Meanwhile, Wolf – the former Support of SKT T1 stated: “This bug clearly affected their fight. But they should have requested a pause as soon as the bug appeared, not wait until the fight was almost over to ask for a pause. At that time, the referee would still allow the match to continue.”

Additionally, the former star of SKT T1 bluntly commented: “Actually, we need to question if the game was favorable for them, would they have paused? That’s a matter that needs proving regarding their decision not to pause.”
The T1 – HLE Bug is Essentially a “Feature” Due to Changes in the Teleport Spell?
In fact, the Teleport spell has undergone significant changes and now operates not by “flying up and landing” but by “moving from the starting point of Teleport to the landing position”. Thus, if Riot designed it as detailed as possible, the player’s Teleport from anywhere would affect the “landing” position. In Zeus’s case when he moved from his blood pool, he was misaligned towards the other side of the stone wall instead of the intended target.

According to some information, this bug has occurred before and was classified by Riot as a “normal bug,” which can be viewed as a game “trick.” Therefore, HLE’s decision to pause the game was not only poorly timed but also had no effect at all.
