Until now, the aftermath of MSI 2022 is still quite vivid in the League of Legends community, especially for T1 fans. This is understandable as MSI 2022 was arguably the “brightest” opportunity for LCK representatives – T1 to claim an international title. They had a strong roster, boasting a mix of experience and youth. Additionally, T1 played on home soil in South Korea, and up until the final match, many of the team’s fans believed that Faker and his teammates could overcome Royal Never Give Up.

However, the reality is that T1 lost to RNG, and the factors leading to this defeat stem from various aspects. One crucial element that cannot be overlooked is that T1’s players did not perform as well compared to the RNG members. Notably, in the final match, Faker himself did not have the explosive plays he exhibited in the previous semifinal against G2 Esports. Doinb pointed out that Faker was indeed a significant factor in T1’s loss to RNG.

Accordingly, the mid-laner from LNG Esports stated on his stream after the match: “I will just summarize today’s match. This is the reason T1 lost. The main reason is that Xiaohu completely outperformed Faker. I’m just saying what needs to be said.”
Doinb’s opinion also received considerable agreement from many League of Legends viewers. In the recent MSI 2022 final, Faker did not perform better than Xiaohu, if not worse. Moreover, in RNG’s winning games, even though Xiaohu might not have used a so-called “carry” champion (like Galio in game 1), he still managed to completely shut down Faker and made it impossible for T1 to maximize their gameplay.

In the future, there is still the 2022 World Championship where both RNG and T1 will have a chance to meet again. At that time, the outcome of the confrontation between Faker and Xiaohu, if RNG faces T1, will likely determine the fate of these two teams.
