In League of Legends, there are champions with incredibly strong 5v5 team fight capabilities like Ornn, Varus, Wukong,… which is why many compositions have to use split-push strategies to avoid team fights. Additionally, there are many champions that can shatter the opponent’s formation, creating disruptions that prevent the enemy team from engaging in favorable team fights.
Here is a list of the “disruptor” champions in team fights:
Poppy – Top Lane

During the laning phase, Poppy may suffer a bit due to her short range and skills that don’t reach far. However, the enemies trying to take down Poppy will find it challenging, as with Steadfast Presence (W), Poppy can prevent enemies from using gap-closing skills and safely retreat. In the current meta favoring solo lane marksmen, Poppy’s W is exceptionally effective against Tristana, Kalista, Corki,… and many other mobile fighters.
When it comes to team fights, most champions wanting to initiate have to dive into the enemy team with some area-of-effect skill. However, facing Poppy, the chance of successfully engaging is almost zero. Because besides W blocking enemies, Poppy can knock enemies out of the fight with her ultimate, Keeper’s Verdict; often when the knocked enemy returns, the fight is already over. This skill is especially powerful when contesting major objectives like Dragon, Baron, Rift Herald,…

Gragas – Jungle

Basically, Gragas’s jungle phase isn’t too difficult; his abilities allow him to clear jungle camps quickly, whether single or multi-target, without losing much health. When ganking, Gragas can easily approach enemies with slows and stuns, and if cautious, he can create disruptions with the Body Slam (E) + Flash combo.
When it comes to team fights, Gragas’s ultimate can dismantle the enemy formation in an instant. Because as soon as the enemies are careless, Gragas will knock one enemy back towards his team, while the rest are sent “flying to the ends of the earth”. This Explosive Cask is extremely effective at keeping enemies at bay when Gragas is securing major objectives like Dragon or Baron without wanting the enemy jungler to contest.

Xin Zhao – Jungle

As one of the simplest yet effective junglers, farming jungle camps doesn’t take much health or time. When ganking, Xin Zhao can run around from behind to intercept with the Wind Becomes Lightning (W) along with Triple Strike (Q); if the enemy flashes, he can follow up with Heroic Leap (E).
The two most popular playstyles for Xin Zhao right now are speed-based, with the Keystone rune Conqueror (dealing damage extremely quickly) and the Keystone rune Phase Rush (chasing enemies and hit-and-run).
In team fights, Xin Zhao can dive straight into the enemy team, dismantling their formation with his ultimate, Crescent Guard. With this skill, besides isolating one enemy and knocking away others, Xin Zhao can also block all incoming damage, buying time for his team. At that point, the team can take advantage of the space created by Xin Zhao to eliminate the isolated target or those knocked back.
