As is known, on the third day of the MSI 2024 Play-In stage, T1 smoothly overcame FlyQuest to become the first team from this round to secure a spot in the upcoming group stage. This was, in fact, predicted beforehand, as T1 was supposed to participate in a round meant only for weaker teams from Major regions or smaller teams. And T1 itself has yet to truly showcase 100% of its capabilities to make it to the group stage. To be fair, T1 is still competing fairly in line with the nature of the team. However, their opponents are too weak, and this can be seen as “the king’s stroll.”

The T1 players themselves seemed quite “chill” when facing opponents who, of course, were vastly inferior to them. Notably, in the recent match against FlyQuest, Zeus even displayed a high level of confidence when he went out to the lane without leveling up any skills. In fact, when ambushed by Bwipo in the bushes, Zeus remained quite calm. It wasn’t until 4 FLY members attacked that Zeus’ K’Sante finally leveled up his W ability and executed a knock-up on 3 opponents. This allowed Zeus to maximize his gold gain as 3 teammates later came to support him.

In fact, leveling skills early is almost a habit for every League of Legends player, whether they are casual gamers or professional players. This is not wrong, as most players know who their opponents are and what skills they need to be effective in the lane. However, some players wait until they are in lane or in a specific situation to level up their skills. The only problem is that this is quite rare, and few players do this in important matches.

Zeus’ actions demonstrate a certain level of confidence, but some fans have expressed concern. Against weaker teams like FLY, this does not affect anything and even helps Zeus gain good resources early in the game. However, if the opponents were stronger teams, perhaps T1’s top laner would not be so complacent.

Nevertheless, T1 has achieved its initial goal of reaching the MSI 2024 group stage. In the upcoming matches, there will be no more weak opponents for T1 to play comfortably against. From a positive perspective, it can be understood that Zeus’ actions indicate he and his teammates are in a relaxed mindset. This could be a good foundation for T1 to achieve their highest goals in this MSI edition.
