Currently, VCS fans and the League of Legends community are eagerly following the developments of MSI 2024. This year’s tournament is expected to be very exciting, and so far, that assessment remains accurate. However, there is one issue that has been lingering, and any information that surfaces will immediately attract the attention of the VCS audience: the match-fixing allegations that have weighed heavily on Vietnamese League of Legends since the end of the Spring Split group stage until now. Recently, new information has been updated within the Vietnamese LMHT community.

According to some media sources from the Vietnamese LMHT community, player G. – a member of the League of Legends team that participated in the Hangzhou ASIAD in 2023 – will officially be “out”. Previously, this player was also reported to be leaving the main roster of Team Whales. At that time, it was said that he and teammate BeanJ were not entirely leaving the team but were just temporarily stepping back from competition to assist with the investigation. However, with the current information, if confirmed, this player may have indeed “dipped into the dirt”.

If this is true, it would be incredibly unfortunate for the Vietnamese LMHT community. Since he began to shine in the Percent Esports jersey, player G. has always been regarded as one of the top Mid Laners in the VCS. His playstyle focuses on resource management and minion counts, leading many to compare him to “Vietnam’s Chovy”. Notably, during the recent ASIAD, he was chosen to play more frequently than his more experienced colleague Kati. Furthermore, at the 2023 World Championship, along with TW, this player also had impressive performances against Team BDS and CBTC Flying Oyster.

However, fans should remain calm and consider the unverified information from Riot and the VCS organizers VCS. Moreover, as long as Riot and the tournament organizers have not announced anything, G. remains innocent, and it’s possible that this is just baseless rumor. Fans need to avoid taking any extreme actions that could affect the player and the entire team.
