Khan is known as one of the best top laners that Korea’s League of Legends has ever produced, yet he has yet to taste international glory. His best achievement is the runner-up position at MSI 2018, a tournament that can be considered a failure for Kingzone DragonX as they were annihilated by RNG with a score of 1-3 in the finals.
Khan himself doesn’t have much time left in professional play, as he is approaching the age for mandatory military service. However, the dream of winning the World Championship still burns fiercely in this player’s heart. Recently, in an interview with Korean media, Khan shared his reasons for joining DWG KIA:

“There is one star on DK’s uniform (representing one world championship), three stars on SKT’s uniform, and one star on FPX’s uniform… But none of those stars belong to me. I think I am unfortunate for not being able to win a world championship, even though I am confident that I am a top player and capable of conquering that title.”
Khan also mentioned that this will be his last professional season, and he is very hopeful that he will stand on top of the world with DWG KIA once again. If this vision comes to fruition, DK will reestablish the feat of successfully defending SKT T1’s World Championship title from the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
At this moment, Khan and his teammates are in excellent form, leading the LCK Spring 2021 standings with 7 wins and 1 loss, brimming with opportunities to defend their LCK title. Khan himself has also shown a certain influence by stepping in to replace Nuguri – the star who joined FPX in the recent transfer window.

Khan’s former teammates at FPX revealed that he had actually intended to announce his retirement after the defeat at LPL Summer 2020, but Coach kkOma called him, and “The Great Khan” then changed his decision, continuing to play for another year to pursue the unfinished dream of winning the World Championship with his former mentor.
