Overview of TFT Set 12 Items
In each season of TFT, there are always popular items, but there are also some that don’t have much impact. It’s not necessarily because these items are weak; they simply haven’t been influenced by Riot, while counter items have been “buffed” significantly. For instance, items that enhance attack speed have been buffed, while slowing items have become noticeably weaker. After some time experiencing TFT Set 12, many players have provided recommendations regarding items that gamers should reconsider as they may not provide any benefit in battles.

Hextech Gunblade in TFT Set 12
Interestingly, this item provides healing for the champion with the lowest health whenever the owner attacks. Therefore, usually, this item should be very effective. However, the Hextech Gunblade can only be used for champions with magic damage. The irony is that AP champions have quite low health. With many champions having gap-closing skills and multi-target damage, AP champions end up using the Hextech Gunblade to heal themselves. This way, they waste an item slot without maximizing its potential.

Vow of the Guardian
Even for Frost champions, this item does not prove to be very effective. The mechanism of this item forces champions to lose a certain amount of health to activate its effectiveness. However, in the early game, this item may provide some resistance, albeit not much, while in the late game, 20 Armor and Magic Resist are too little for champions who can deal burst damage or have multi-target damage.

Fire Cloak
This item can be controversial as it was once very strong against champions with skill mechanisms or items that provide healing. However, over time, this item has drastically declined after being heavily “nerfed” by Riot. The mechanism “Every 2 seconds, enemies within 2 hexes are burned for 1% of their maximum health and suffer 33% grievous wounds for 10 seconds” does not have much effect against tank champions in the late game. Meanwhile, ranged damage dealers are too strong, with high attack speed making it difficult for tanks (who usually use this item) to approach. Not to mention, Blood Vest and Chain Vest can be combined into Frost and Monster marks – two very strong traits at present.

Conclusion
The items above still have some certain effects. However, items in TFT cannot be refunded for gold, and without special Blessings, they cannot be refunded for component items either. Therefore, players need to consider carefully to ensure that the item will always be effective at all times during the match.
