One of the standout features of TFT Season 10, which was recently launched, is that this season will be the first time Riot does not release a mid-season patch. However, the publisher also managed to bring back TFT Season 3.5 with the theme of Celestial, which was highly favored by the community of players for this mode. Of course, TFT Season 3.5 did not return merely for nostalgia, but rather accompanied by an event. The thing is, so far, TFT Season 3.5 has not attracted the attention that was hoped for.

The old season launched while the new season is still attracting attention
It is a fact that releasing two seasons simultaneously is understandable, but it inadvertently makes it difficult for many players to choose. Naturally, anything new and still being explored will be prioritized. Riot simply brought back exactly what was present in TFT Season 3.5, and thus there are no new updates or adjustments. Players will only need to revolve around certain team compositions and can experience everything just like that.
Meanwhile, the new season still brings many fresh elements and unique compositions or “cheap and tasty” units. While this is also a characteristic of TFT, a version that is still being cared for compared to a version that players have explored thoroughly, it’s not hard to understand which one will be prioritized.

Old mechanics gone, especially items
It is a fact that after many years, the items from Season 3.5 are no longer present in the current game, and even if they are, they no longer serve their original purpose. A prime example is the gameplay of Master Yi Bluetooth, which was famous in TFT Season 3.5, has disappeared. The reason is that the Rapid Firecannon has been replaced by the Red Buff.
For this reason, players feel that they only have the “shell” of the old version, while the important elements have vanished. This is one of the factors that prevents players from finding a sense of nostalgia while having to re-learn in a half-hearted manner that brings no effect.

No ranking system
One of the most attractive factors of TFT is, in particular, ranked play. The competition and rivalry force players to unleash their creativity in developing new, diverse playstyles, thus creating the excitement and allure of TFT. And TFT Season 3.5, as an old season, does not have a ranking mode.

On average, a game of TFT can last about 30 minutes. Therefore, no player wants to waste time on meaningless matches, while they could use that time to improve their rank.
