As we know, on the night of February 9th to the morning of February 10th (Vietnam time) marks the New Year’s Eve of the Lunar New Year 2024. Not only Vietnam but other Asian countries like China and Korea also celebrate this important holiday. Of course, at this time, all tournaments have taken a break for players to celebrate the New Year. However, many players still take advantage of this rare long break in the year to climb ranks, avoiding losing their competitive edge and relieving stress. Among them is none other than Faker – the Mid Laner of T1.

However, Faker’s ranked experience on New Year’s Eve wasn’t exactly smooth. Specifically, the Mid Laner from T1, in a rare instance of using Nidalee in the jungle, did not achieve good results. Throughout the game, only 2 members of Faker‘s team, including him and the Mid Laner, genuinely attempted to win the match. However, even the Mid Laner with an acceptable KDA didn’t meet Faker’s expectations. The other 3 members could only be described as a “disaster.”

Unable to keep his composure, Faker “flamed” all 4 of his teammates live on stream: “You guys should work during this Lunar New Year holiday. I mean, all 4 of you, especially that Blitzcrank player. You are really talented, but in making us lose faster. The Blitzcrank player needs to work twice as hard.”
In reality, despite being very “ahead” and completely dominating the enemy jungle, Faker’s team still faced a disappointing defeat. Faker himself is very sensitive to players who do not put in effort while climbing ranks or exhibit disruptive behavior. Not long ago, Faker asserted that he would report a player suspected to be Vietnamese for disruptive conduct in Korean ranked matches. Indeed, that player’s account was subsequently banned.
Moreover, the Korean ranked environment is known to be one of the reputable servers, highly regarded for its quality. Therefore, no one wants Korean ranked to become a place for players lacking discipline to disrupt games or show that they are not truly focused on their ranked matches.
