Overview of the Butcher Comp in TFT Season 14
The Butcher comp can be said to have fairly versatile damage, with both melee and ranged champions, physical and magical damage all included. However, the common characteristic of Butcher champions (formerly Assassins) is that they are extremely fragile and can be taken down in just a few seconds. Therefore, the Butcher comp needs to be combined with defensive traits to withstand longer in fights, such as Vanguard or Brawler.

Additionally, due to the variety of damage, the Butcher also requires more offensive items than usual. Therefore, the Shared Draft phase will be extremely tense if players want to secure the right items for their comp.

How to Operate the Butcher Comp
In the early stages, players can activate the 2 Butcher trait with Mundo – Shaco. However, the main carry of this comp should be Shaco – Senna. Therefore, players can mix both rerolling and leveling up before the upcoming rounds to obtain Senna early. Vayne is also a quality source of ranged damage that players can consider if they have extra items.

Moving into the mid-game, at level 6, players can activate the 2 Vanguard – 2 Bull – 4 Butcher traits. The key champions at this stage that need items include Shaco, Senna, and defensive items for Jarvan IV and Alistar. Other trait activators include Vayne and Braum.

Towards the late game, players can activate the 6 Butcher – 2 Vanguard – 3 Beasts trait with the addition of Zed and Leona. However, Zed should only be a trait activator rather than taking Shaco’s items.
The complete comp at level 8: Leona – Dr. Mundo – Jarvan IV – Shaco – Zed – Senna – Vayne – Aurora.

Strengths and Weaknesses
The Butcher comp basically has very strong damage and can easily attack the opponent’s backline. However, the weakness of this comp lies in its defensive capability and the need for many items. Therefore, if players do not build a strong enough frontline with sufficient damage and reach the highest trait levels, the chances of “getting stuck” can be very high.
