Although once a hot pick in the Warrior meta, Pantheon is often used merely as a tank unit in Teamfight Tactics. However, few know that Pantheon can deal extremely powerful damage with his abilities. The biggest strength that a carry Pantheon possesses is his strong defensive capabilities from the ability Stormbreaker. Therefore, this unit can equip many damage items while still surviving in fights for a long time.

Furthermore, with compositions utilizing many melee units like Yasuo – Spirit, Knights… still prevalent, Pantheon’s close-range damage potential becomes even more effective. Even when facing compositions with ranged carries, Pantheon is not too worried as he can use his “tankiness” to secure victories.
The most effective start when you choose to play around Pantheon is a composition of 3 basic Warriors with Udyr, Trundle, and Kennen. If possible, you should upgrade Trundle to 2 stars as soon as possible because this champion’s ability to steal stats is extremely strong in the early game. If you cannot acquire the 3 units mentioned, Kalista is always a good option if you can assemble Infinity Edge or Bloodthirster early.

Moving into the mid-game, you should look to maintain gold and level up steadily. The time to roll your gold will be at level 7 to have a higher chance of obtaining Pantheon. Of course, during the gold-saving phase, you should buy Pantheon as soon as possible. Even without items, this champion is still a fairly strong tank unit.
Upon reaching level 7, you should apply a slow roll strategy to upgrade Pantheon. If you have more than 6 Pantheon units after the Mutant Krug round, you should continue to roll and upgrade this unit to 3 stars. In case of an unfortunate situation, you will need to level up to 8 to aim for the late game.

In the late game after reaching level 8, the unit you should buy most is Jax to supplement Pantheon’s damage. Additionally, high-value champions like Taric and Rell are always incredibly strong choices to add more “tankiness” to your composition. If the opponent has a very strong physical carry like Draven, you might consider playing at the 3 Knight threshold. You should also buy Darius if possible to enhance your team’s armor reduction capabilities.

Regarding item build, Infinity Edge and Bloodthirster are extremely strong items to maximize Pantheon’s damage output. Additionally, you should also assemble Giant Slayer for this champion in the mid-game. With the ability Stormbreaker, Pantheon can stack Giant Slayer without losing too much health. Besides Pantheon, Jax is also a unit you should invest in with Runaan’s Hurricane and Quicksilver (both regular and dark versions).
