Just a few days after the arrival of Season 4.5 of Teamfight Tactics , compositions like Brawlers, Duelists, or Assassins – Spirits quickly dominated the meta. While these compositions are indeed powerful, they also pose a major trap for players. The top meta teams will be heavily contested by many players, and if you stubbornly build without observing your opponents, the chance of losing is very high.

Therefore, players should seek compositions that are not overly contested but still ensure strength in the late game. One of these is the Kayle – Divine team discovered by player DQA_TFT, ranked top 7 Challenger in Season 4.

The operation of the Kayle – Divine composition is relatively simple; you will use the front line to buy time for this angelic lady to eliminate opponents. Because the theory is so straightforward, players have various ways to build the team to protect Kayle. The most common strategy is to use Vanguard champions as the front line. You can also use Bloodthirster units to shield Kayle while dealing damage.

With most of the key champions in this composition being high-cost (4-5 gold), you can use all the strong units available in the early game to maintain as much health as possible. Champions like Maokai, Tahm Kench, Garen, and Wukong are perfect choices to start the match. For later choices, Nidalee is the best unit you should acquire as it can efficiently hold items for Kayle.

In the mid-game, the unit you need to acquire the most will be Kindred. This unit has relatively high magic damage right at 1 star, so it can carry the team exceptionally well. Moreover, this unit has the Slayer trait, which will provide Kayle with significant damage as soon as you acquire that 4-cost unit. Additionally, Irelia is also a unit you should acquire due to her highly annoying crowd control capabilities.

By the late game, alongside Kayle, who is a must-buy unit, players can choose between two front line options: Vanguard or Master. If you manage to acquire strong Vanguard units like Aatrox or Sejuani early (level 6-7), use them to shield Kayle. At this point, players should also purchase Xayah to achieve the 3 Slayer combo, maximizing damage.

Meanwhile, if you acquire a Shen unit early, building the front line based on the Master trait is advisable. Players should include 5-cost units that provide both durability and damage, such as Lee Sin or Swain, to supplement the damage of the team.

Regarding item builds, Rapid Firecannon is the most important item for Kayle, so players should prioritize crafting it first. Guinsoo’s Rageblade is also a strong option for Kayle. However, if you cannot acquire additional Recurve Bow, items like Hextech Gunblade, Death’s Sword, or Guardian Angel are options you should consider. Quicksilver is the most important defensive item that Kayle should own.
For front line champions, you can use any defensive item you have. The ultimate goal remains to buy as much time as possible for Kayle to deal damage.
