If you remember, in season 6, Riot introduced the Mutant tribe with the ability to change effects after each match, which was enthusiastically received by players. Continuing that success, Riot created the Dragonmancer tribe in Teamfight Tactics season 7 with a similar mechanism that also changes effects after each match to diversify gameplay for players. So how can we fully utilize the potential of the Dragonmancer tribe? Let’s find out!

Basically, the playstyle of this tribe revolves around the Dragonmancer carry named Daeja, who has excellent damage over time. Of course, to support this champion well, players should aim to build a Dragonmancer team in matches with strong effects like Warlord, Duelist, Blademaster, or Celestial. If you accidentally encounter bad effects like Electric Surge, Pirate, or Spellblade, players should consider skipping the Dragonmancer team.
In the early game, players should ideally use Yone as the main damage dealer since this champion can deal very annoying mixed damage. Supporting Yone will be Leona (activating the 2 Dragonmancer threshold) along with Taric, Shen, or Aatrox. These champions will help Yone become more “tanky” thanks to the Guardian effect while also dealing additional damage with the 2 Warlord threshold.

By the mid-game, you should add Shen and Olaf to the board to activate both the 4 Warlord threshold and the 2 Fighter threshold. You should also pay attention to buy Braum as soon as possible since this unit is a great substitute for Taric and also provides additional Dragon effect for Olaf. Remember that you need to maintain a lot of health to have enough gold and roll for Daeja at the end of the game, so high-quality units like these are essential to purchase.

For the late game, you will begin rolling heavily at level 8 to acquire additional important units like Nunu, Yasuo, and Daeja, achieving the 6 Dragonmancer threshold. Hecarim is also a unit that needs investment as it provides very annoying area control. Additionally, you can keep the duo of Olaf and Shen to maintain the 4 Warlord threshold. If you are lucky and acquire Bard early, players can combine it with Lulu to increase magic resistance for the whole team.

Regarding technology core choices, upgrades that enhance the Dragonmancer tribe are extremely important. Additionally, you can use the Destruction Horse core to increase the durability of the entire composition when they benefit from the Knight effect. Furthermore, upgrades that provide items are always very necessary since Daeja must have a “signature” item to deal significant damage.
For item choices, Guinsoo’s Rageblade and Morellonomicon are extremely important for Daeja. You can utilize them by crafting them early for Yone and then transferring them to Daeja in the late game. For the third item slot, options like Hand of Justice, Statikk Shiv, or even Bloodthirster can all be used for Daeja.
