9 Shadow
Despite the presence of the “hot boy” Draven, the unfortunate truth is that the Shadow composition is currently very weak. Looking at the 9 Shadow champions in Teamfight Tactics Season 5, one realizes that tank champions like Thresh, Hecarim, and Warwick are all priced too low. The high-value units are damage dealers (Vayne, Draven, Katarina) or provide crowd control and utility (Ryze, Viktor, Viego).

This has led to a serious imbalance in the Shadow composition. With a value of only 1-2 gold, the frontline of the Shadow composition is too easily defeated in the late game. Carry champions like Draven, despite having a lot of damage, are meaningless without protection. If you have enough “core” items and want to play around Draven, it’s best not to build a Shadow composition. The Legion team with strong frontline units is a better choice at the moment.
5 Dragon Clan
Although it can help players quickly upgrade Dragon Clan units to 3 stars, this composition can easily lead you to defeat. The reason is that you must have Heimerdinger (a 5-gold champion) to activate the 5 Dragon Clan threshold. Then you have to wait a few more rounds for those golden dragon eggs to hatch and receive rewards. Remember that the Dragon Clan’s effect does not provide stats, so buying Heimerdinger doesn’t significantly strengthen the composition.

The common situation for Dragon Clan players is upgrading their composition early but losing a lot of health when other players get 4-gold 2-star carries. Even if you manage to roll for Heimerdinger, with such low health, being eliminated is very understandable. This makes it rare for Dragon Clan to make it into the top 4 for players to gain additional ranking points. This composition is likely only suitable for players with high luck.
6 Celestial
The story of the Celestial tribe is quite similar to that of Shadow, possessing too few strong tank units in the mid-game. Aside from Rell at 4 gold, tank units of the Celestial tribe like Aatrox and Leona are all valued at 1 gold. Therefore, while the Celestial tribe can be strong in the early game, they will continuously lose as they reach stages 3, 4, and 5. Even if you are lucky enough to have Kayle at level 7, you still can’t win with such a weak frontline.

The advice is that you should only use the Celestial tribe as a way to maintain health in the early game. In the later stages, you should invest in other stronger tribes such as Divine, Sorcerer, Mage, or Marksman starting with Celestial. While Kayle is very strong, she only performs optimally when fully protected. Therefore, investing in milestones like 6/9 Celestial is extremely costly but the returns are not very high.
