Draven
With a staggering amount of damage from his Spinning Axes, Draven is one of the most beloved champions in Season 1. And when Riot brought him back in Teamfight Tactics Season 5 while keeping his skills intact, Draven still proves to be an incredibly reliable damage-dealer. In fact, with the significant attack speed from the Legion system, Draven’s damage output in Season 5 can even be more effective than in Season 1.

Naturally, at the cost of 4 gold, you can’t buy Draven too early in the game. Therefore, it is advisable to select a few units like Kalista, Varus, or Vayne to include in your team. These champions not only deal a decent amount of damage but also can effectively hold items for Draven. If you manage to acquire Draven by level 7, you should aim for reaching the 4 Legion threshold so that this champion has enough attack speed and ensures maximum damage output.

Aphelios
In terms of physical damage output, Aphelios is not much inferior to Draven. In fact, Aphelios’s abilities can deal damage to multiple targets and eliminate the backline units of the opponent. If you can’t find Draven despite having enough items, switching to Aphelios is a solid option. Essentially, these two champions have very similar item builds with Bloodthirster and Guinsoo’s Rageblade as core items.

To maximize Aphelios’s power, you should build a Mage – Archer composition and choose strong frontline champions like Rell, Darius, and Nautilus. An alternative version of this composition is to play up to 4 Archers to take advantage of early upgraded units like Ashe and Varus. However, this version tends to be significantly weaker as the frontline only has 2 main tanks, which are Taric and Darius. It is recommended to go for the 2 Archer version and have more tankiness to climb ranks.

Karma
Essentially, Karma is an upgraded version of the LeBlanc – Blue Buff combo. Although she doesn’t provide crowd control like LeBlanc, Karma can deal continuous area damage right from level 1 star. With just a Blue Buff and a Tear of the Goddess, this champion can unleash her “chain of spells” to take down the enemy team. Even her durability is quite significant thanks to the healing effect from the Celestial tribe.

Not only does she shine in the Celestial composition, but this champion is also a crucial piece in many magical damage compositions. The energy regeneration effect on hit from the Sorcerer system allows your team to cast spells much faster. This gives teams with Karma a health advantage as the spells from Sorcerers always deal significant damage. If you want to use Karma effectively, a Blue Buff is a must-have item.
