Mutant – Giant
Basically, with a series of balance adjustments from Riot Games, the Mutant effects have become more balanced, allowing players to utilize this trait in almost every match. Perhaps for this reason, the usage rate of the Mutant trait has skyrocketed recently, especially in team comps that combine with the Giant system. However, the average placement and top 4 rate of this composition is not high at all, if not quite low.

The main reason for the poor stats mentioned above is that players still believe Cho’Gath is a strong champion and try to build around this unit. However, in reality, Cho’Gath is rated very low by Challenger players because it consumes too many resources while offering very low versatility. Moreover, if you play the Mutant – Giant team, you inadvertently “squeeze” the Mutant effect “Black Mist” since the number of units in the team is quite low. Therefore, the advice is to leave Cho’Gath out at the end of the game if you really want to consistently reach the top 4 and climb ranks steadily.
Innovator – Sorcerer
Among the variations of the Innovator team, this is considered the weakest version as both offensive and defensive capabilities are hard to guarantee. Indeed, with the 3 Sorcerer effect, your composition will have a lot of magic resistance and healing ability. However, in the context where physical damage-based team comps have made a strong comeback, the magic resistance does not hold much significance. As a result, you will lose a lot of damage if you try to use Sorcerer units.

Not stopping there, this version often wastes its already limited damage output when players arrange their composition inefficiently. If you didn’t know, Seraphine (the core of this variant) will always cast her ability targeting the furthest ally. In this case, it’s usually Ekko, and if you place this piece incorrectly and can’t reach the enemy team’s core, Seraphine’s damage will be completely wasted.
Innovator – Recycler
Recycler might be one of the strongest traits in season 6.5 as it is extremely versatile and has very few weaknesses. The “item hack” ability of Recycler makes your champions strong right from the start, even when the items are not fully equipped. By the end of the game, the more items players have, the larger the shields generated by this trait, making the composition tougher. Therefore, in the recent patch, Riot heavily nerfed the shield generation capability, causing Recycler to weaken significantly.

As a result, the Innovator – Recycler composition has seen a sharp decline in top 4 placement rates as well as average placement. However, this team comp still has an incredibly high selection rate, perhaps players still cannot break the habit of building this composition in a short time. Perhaps in the near future, Teamfight Tactics players will soon realize the diminished power of this composition and move on from it.
