Inventor
Although not highly rated during the testing phase, the Inventor composition proved to be extremely strong when Teamfight Tactics Season 6 officially launched. To say it bluntly, this composition can capitalize on almost all the most dominant elements of Season 6 such as Sorcerer, Morello’s Evil Tome, and Chalice of Power… Even when the reroll meta in patch 12.2 rises to the top, players can still adapt the Inventor composition by upgrading Twitch, Ezreal, and Singed to 3 stars.

For this reason, in the first half of Season 6, it’s rare for the Inventor to be “out of meta”. Moreover, players have discovered the extremely strong potential of Seraphine to “carry the team,” turning her into a powerful carry in the Inventor team. Even after Riot nerfed Seraphine’s healing ability, this composition still maintains its resilience. It wouldn’t be surprising if the Inventor composition remains among the top meta in the upcoming Season 6.5.
Ranger – Guardian
Perhaps in the last few seasons of “fortune chess,” hardly any composition can hyper-roll as effectively as the Ranger – Guardian team. The 5 key units of this composition, including Garen, Kassadin, Graves, Caitlyn, and Kog’Maw, can activate many traits and ensure the strength of the composition remains consistent. Furthermore, 4 out of the 5 units mentioned above cost 1 gold, allowing you to reroll and upgrade them to 3 stars relatively easily at level 5.

Therefore, even after the transition to patch 12.2, the Ranger – Guardian composition remains one of the most effective rankings compositions. Remember that this composition was heavily nerfed in patch 11.24, yet it still stood strong in Teamfight Tactics. In fact, that nerf may have even made this composition rank more effectively, as fewer players “spammed” it, resulting in less competition for gamers. Perhaps players should take advantage of this team comp to climb ranks during this phase before Garen and Graves are removed in the upcoming mid-season update along with the Academy trait.
Wizard
Unlike previous seasons, the Wizard composition in Season 6 has a unique feature of not relying on tank units from other traits. This is due to the introduction of Vex, who has an incredibly strong shield ability, allowing players to play up to 6 Wizards without fear of being quickly taken down. As a result, this composition faced a relatively heavy nerf in patch 11.24 when the amount of shields created by Vex was reduced, making this unit easier to defeat.

However, this nerf did not cause the Wizard composition to be “out of meta”; it just made it adapt to be more reasonable. Instead of playing up to 6 Wizards, you can stop at 4 units, adding healing units and strong shield generators, while still making Vex incredibly tanky. This may serve as a valuable lesson for Riot, and they will no longer create a unit with such strong defense while belonging to a “full attack” trait.
