Bruiser – Chemtech
This is a prime example of a composition that, despite being heavily nerfed, remains popular among players. The reason stems from the fact that the Chemtech effect provides both offensive (attack speed) and defensive (damage reduction, healing) capabilities, which keeps this composition in use by many players. Even when the interaction between Urgot and Statikk Shiv was nerfed, it is still considered a “meta staple” as it significantly enhances the team’s damage output.

However, we cannot deny that Riot’s adjustments have significantly weakened the Bruiser – Chemtech composition. Combined with the fact that players still favor this composition, the competition among players to secure key units like Urgot, Jinx, and Dr. Mundo has increased dramatically. Therefore, at this moment, despite a pick rate of up to 0.95, the Bruiser – Chemtech composition has not even achieved a top 4 rate of 50%.
Challenger
With almost no impact from Riot (aside from Yone’s basic health being reduced by 50), the Challenger composition remains highly favored. The strength of this composition lies in its ability to snowball in fights, as Challenger units gain a substantial amount of attack speed and can move towards enemies after defeating an opponent’s unit. Therefore, once the composition is upgraded and equipped with ample items, the Challenger team can dominate the match very effectively.

However, in reality, achieving these goals is quite challenging, as the key units of the Challenger system are not cheap in Teamfight Tactics. Furthermore, utilizing the two hottest Guardian units, Leona and Braum, also requires players to compete fiercely to build a complete composition. Remember that without a 2-star Braum or Leona, key units like Yone and Fiora can be taken down very quickly, leading to a regrettable loss.
Mage
Right after the Kai’Sa – Idol composition was nerfed and dropped out of the meta, the Mage team has risen strongly. This is because this composition is heavily countered by Giant units or the fast “rush level 9” playstyle, as Vex is countered significantly by Tahm Kench. As a result, the number of players using the Mage team has skyrocketed, pushing its pick rate to 0.85, second only to Bruiser – Chemtech.

Although it is popular, this composition is not a “guaranteed ticket” to secure a top 4 finish. Remember that the Assassin playstyle is rising strongly and is a significant counter to fragile Mage units. Moreover, the popularity of the Innovator – Sorcerer composition has greatly reduced the magical damage output of Mages. Therefore, to effectively play this composition, players need to observe how many counters there are, as “spamming” Mages will make it very hard to climb the ranks.
