On the evening of January 10 (Vietnam time), T1 held the retirement ceremony for the legendary SKT T1 player, Bae “Bang” Jun-sik. After more than 9 years of ups and downs since he began his professional career with NaJin Shield, the “championship-winning marksman” in League of Legends history has decided to step back from his career. In the near future, it seems that Bang will follow another former SKT T1 player, Khan, to fulfill his military service obligations as required by South Korean law.

Alongside his reflections on a glorious yet challenging career, Bang’s farewell ceremony from the professional League of Legends scene also featured a highlight: his proposal to his girlfriend, the LCK host Jeesun Park: “It seems many people still don’t know, but I have a girlfriend. I just proposed, and I will strive to be a reliable partner for her for the rest of my life. I also want to extend my thanks to my family and friends who have always been by my side. This is my final goodbye to you as a professional player. Bae Jun-sik will definitely live well.”
Even the host of the ceremony was surprised by this news. The relationship between Bang and host Jeesun Park has been rumored for a long time, but both have almost never publicly acknowledged it on social media. The only evidence has been subtle hints shared by the couple. Notably, after her boyfriend’s speech, Jeesun Park also officially posted a photo on her story confirming that she accepted his proposal.

Regardless, Bang and host Jeesun Park can be considered a perfect match. He is a legend in the League of Legends scene, while she is the angel of LCK. Notably, fans have unearthed a moment from 2017 when Jeesun Park came to the arena to cheer for Bang. Her focused yet gentle face, along with her special support for Bang back then, may have been one of the catalysts that brought them together.

Currently, Bang has officially stepped back from the professional League of Legends scene, but before retiring, he added yet another “achievement” to his list. Let’s wish the “golden couple” of the LCK and the League of Legends community everlasting happiness and that they will achieve even more success in their upcoming careers.
