As we prepare to enter patch 6.5, many Teamfight Tactics players are becoming less “enthusiastic” about climbing ranks and are instead focusing on testing new compositions. While some strong metas like Brawler – Assassin or Chemtech are still dominating, that doesn’t mean players can’t get creative with new team compositions to avoid spam and boredom. One such composition is Trundle combined with Guardians and Recycler, which has been tested and proven successful.

Overview and Operation
For this composition, the most important piece is Trundle, a 2-gold champion. The key principle of playing around 1 and 2-gold champions is to reach level 3 stars and equip them properly to secure victories. The Trundle Guardian playstyle offers a certain sturdiness, particularly with a lot of hard crowd control. Additionally, this composition only requires damage items for Trundle while defensive items are equipped on the remaining champions.
In the early levels, players can easily obtain a 3-star Trundle. This champion has seen less popularity recently after being widely used, so upgrading Trundle shouldn’t be too difficult. In the early game, players can get Trundle (2 gold) along with Blitzcrank (2 gold), Darius (1 gold), and an additional Guardian like Garen or Kassadin to enhance sturdiness.

As we transition into the mid-game, this is when it’s essential to have Guardians and Recyclers to begin forming a complete team. Leona will replace Garen, and Braum (if available) will help complete the Guardian branch in this composition. At level 5, players will have a team including Blitzcrank – Darius – Braum – Leona – Trundle. If lucky enough to get Janna, it will greatly enhance the team’s healing capabilities. Alternatively, adding a Brawler can increase the overall health of the team (Zac or Vi).

In the late game, players need to finalize their team with Orianna and Janna. Other champions can be rotated based on the specific situation of the match, such as the opponents’ composition and the champions available for roll. A fully completed team includes: Blitzcrank – Braum – Darius – Leona – Trundle – Janna – Orianna – Zyra. If you have the Guardian emblem for Trundle, you can replace Darius with Taric for additional buffs for the entire team.

Strengths and Weaknesses
With a composition rich in crowd control and healing, players won’t need to worry too much about maintaining health throughout the match. The damage is only at a moderate level, but the area control from Orianna or Braum can certainly create surprises.
The weakness of this composition lies in the reliance on a 3-star Trundle, which may struggle to secure overwhelming victories. Moreover, Trundle is not a champion with high attack speed, so players may experience some tense moments. Additionally, as there are no Brawlers, Trundle won’t have exceptionally high health, making him vulnerable to strong engagement compositions (Assassins) that could easily knock him out early.

However, this is also a fairly easy composition to play that doesn’t heavily rely on Augments. But if there are additional augments providing healing, it would greatly benefit players wanting to operate this team primarily for a “refreshing” experience.
