Teamfight Tactics: North America Challenger Shares Everything About the Experience of Using Luck-Based Compositions Centered Around Zed

Zed once again becomes the top carry champion in TFT as the meta shifts towards late-game compositions.

The Zed/Poison composition with Zed and Singed was so powerful that many players had to “sell their blood quickly” but has disappeared from TFT in the last 1 to 2 patches.

However, since patch 10.4, this composition has made a comeback and is incredibly dominant with the superior strength of 5-cost champions like Zed, Taric, and Singed in the late game.

Including the strongest 5-cost champions at the moment makes this composition incredibly powerful.

A Challenger player on the North American server with the in-game name “RIOT thatsPRIMAL” has analyzed in detail the reasons for this comeback and the rules to help you effectively utilize this composition.

The main reason for the comeback
The main reason for the comeback

The dominance of the Shadow composition, Azir, has made bleed-out compositions that excel in the late game nearly impossible, as everyone is using their gold early to complete powerful mid-game compositions with all 2-stars. And if you play a bleed-out composition to “rush” to level 8, you won’t have enough health to sell.

However, the meta has slowed down as Azir and Shadow have been nerfed significantly. Therefore, strong level 8 compositions with 5-cost champions can make a return. Additionally, Zed, Ornn, and Singed have recently received considerable buffs that help this composition make a strong comeback.

The nerf to Shadow and Azir has slowed down the meta.

Principles for Utilizing This Composition.

• Reach level 8 by round 4-2 or 4-3, ahead of all other players with 30-40 gold to roll for powerful 4-5 cost champions like Zed, Singed, Taric, or Malphite, Yorick.

• Take advantage of the strong system/class buffs around these carry champions like Invocation, Lightning, Poison, Gem.

• Prioritize using strong early-game champions, classes/systems like: Glacial (Warwick, Braum), Lightning (Volibear, Ornn), Guardian (Nasus, Leona). Alternatively, if you can get 2-stars on Natural/Ranger champions, equip items on Diana, Qiyana,…

• Do not roll early unless you notice the composition is too weak and you cannot defend until level 8.

Notes When Reaching Level 8

There are many variations for this composition, you just need to activate the system/class buffs for Zed like Lightning, Invocation, or Assassin, while the other 4-5 cost champions need to be flexible.

Singed only needs a Morellonomicon to counter strong healing compositions and deal significant damage, you can use Poison depending on the situation.

Here are some example compositions:

1, 3 Lightning/2 Mystic/2 Moonlight

2, 3 Lightning/3 Invocation/2 Gem
2, 3 Lightning/3 Invocation/2 Gem
3, 3 Lightning/3 Poison/2 Gem
3, 3 Lightning/3 Poison/2 Gem

Although this is not an easy composition to play, it is a composition that can easily lead you to the top 1. Especially when playing in lower ranks, as lower-ranked players often use gold early less frequently, which will facilitate your “bleed-out” process.

With the above shares, I hope you can take advantage of the power of the strongest champions in TFT and reach the highest rank possible before season 2 ends.
