Throughout the seasons, Thief’s Gloves (or in season 5 the version called Deceptive Gloves and in season 5.5 the Exquisite Gloves) have always been regarded as one of the most dangerous items. The reason is not that this item is weak, but it requires players to have the skill to read the game situation to arrange this item for the most suitable champion.
In season 5, the Dark items brought power along with the risks that the owner had to bear, while in season 5.5, the Light items are incredibly strong without requiring any trade-offs. In fact, because they are too dominant, Riot only allows one Light item per game. However, if the item a player possesses is the Exquisite Gloves, then that’s a different story.

Specifically, the Exquisite Gloves will provide players with 2 Light items right at the start of the game, and this is the issue. As mentioned above, the Light items in season 5.5 are very powerful but do not require players to make any trade-offs like the Dark items from the previous season, to the extent that Riot only allows each player to own one Light item. Therefore, the fact that a champion can possess 2 Light items at the same time is like a maximum strength “hack”.
For example, Tristana or Lucian – two of the most powerful damage dealers of the Gunner class owning Exquisite Gloves, and in that round, these champions randomly acquiring Celestial Sword and Guinsoo’s Judgment Blade, it’s unimaginable the amount of damage Lucian or Tristana can inflict when the critical hit rate is over 100% and the attack speed can stack infinitely.

Although there are still some Light items that are not rated very high compared to other items, most of them provide significant benefits that can completely turn the tide of the game. Therefore, possessing more than 1 Light item per round, if the right item is matched with the right champion, then the opponent may not even realize what is happening before their entire formation is wiped out.
