While new champions are certainly good, old team compositions like Brawlers – Cannoneers have not lost their strength; in fact, they are considered the strongest team comp in the game after the update. Riot Mortdog, the lead designer of Teamfight Tactics, even had to confirm this, expressing his particular frustration with Jinx, stating that she is the “most balanced” champion at this time.
Riot Mortdog: “Oh my god, my carry got pulled, and the opponent has Jinx, the strongest champion at the moment. Oh Jinx, look at her shoot! Haizz.. She really is a balanced champion”
The reason Jinx has become stronger without any buffs lies in the fact that her hardest counters have been removed. First, the absurdly high damage from champions like Kayle and Miss Fortune has been eliminated, and next, your frontline will no longer be blown away by the Void monsters.
Additionally, the Infinity Edge returning with the feature of guaranteed critical hits improves her damage output. Once Jinx’s passive is activated, she can easily blow away the entire enemy team.
