One of the least noticed changes in Teamfight Tactics 10.10 is that Ziggs’ maximum energy has been reduced by 5, from 45 to 40. Although this update isn’t too significant, it allows Ziggs to use his skill continuously while equipped with 2 Archangel’s Staffs. Moreover, Ziggs himself had his skill damage increased in previous updates, so this 1-cost champion can “vaporize” most opponents with his “bomb rain”.

The scariest part of this playstyle is that it makes you incredibly strong early on and allows you to accumulate gold very quickly to build a complete Rebel team. Of course, Ziggs’ damage is already significant, but he remains a single-target unit; you will need more area damage from Aurelion Sol and Gangplank towards the end of the game to finish off your opponents.

The biggest difference between the Ziggs “bomb rain” composition and a typical Rebel team is that in the early game, you will play like a hyper-roll team. This means you should not level up, save a large amount of gold, and all-in on round 3-1 to upgrade your carry to 3 stars. However, instead of having to “golden” Xayah, Jarvan IV, or Fiora like in the Shredder composition, you only need Ziggs to be 3 stars, and whether Malphite reaches that level is not overly important.

As you move into the mid-game, if you have a 3-star Ziggs, try to use gold to level up to 8. If you don’t get a 3-star Ziggs by round 3-1, don’t roll too much but save up to 50 gold and then roll slowly to find this unit. During the rolling process, always keep an eye out to buy Rebel units to ensure your team is strong enough and avoid losing too much health in the mid-game.
By the mid-game, you can use almost anything in the front row, from Brawlers to combo with Malphite, even including Cannoneer with Rumble. Once Ziggs reaches 3 stars, he can nearly one-shot any champion that takes his bomb, so front-row tank champions to protect this Yordle are the optimal choice.

In the late game, you have two main tasks: first, complete 6 Rebels, and second, acquire Gangplank and Miss Fortune. If you managed to accumulate a large amount of gold in the mid-game and are able to level up to 8 while still having plenty of gold (30-40 gold), look to roll for important units early before your opponents can snatch them away, especially Miss Fortune, as Brawler – Cannoneer is currently very popular. During the rolling process, buy any upgrades you see.

In terms of items, the mandatory condition for optimal performance is that your Ziggs must have 2 Archangel’s Staffs, while the third item can be flexible between AP items or defensive gear if there are many opponents playing Spy. As for Gangplank, ideally he should have Guardian Angel to ensure he can cast his skill; otherwise, any AP or energy item is good.
