In the final days of season 6, Teamfight Tactics requires players to be more flexible in finding an effective composition for ranking up, or they might just want to play normal matches for fun. Many compositions have been tested, ranging from those centered around 1 and 2 gold champions like Trundle, Caitlyn… to Exodia-style compositions that consist entirely of expensive units. Recently, some players have returned to a composition that was very strong back in 2021 but has gradually seen less use: Jayce Blademaster – Sorcerer.

Overview and Operation
For the Sorcerer composition combined with Jayce, players can only use Blademaster alongside other traits in the early game and should only start implementing their intended composition once they have Taric. This can also be seen as an Exodia-like composition since only Vi and Taric are 3 gold or less.
In the early game, players can focus on Innovator – Blademaster with 1 and 2 gold champions like Caitlyn, Vi, Ezreal, Zilean, and Singed. Since there will also be the Innovator trait activated in the late game, the slot for this trait in the team can change or remain fixed, depending on the specific situation of each match.

Moving into the mid-game, players need to have Taric to start transitioning the composition into Sorcerers. Since this is an Exodia composition, players should keep around 25 gold remaining and spend it all to level up and roll for champions. The 2 Sorcerers to use at this point include Taric and Lulu. If players already have 4 gold champions (Janna, Orianna, Seraphine), they should also quickly bring them into the match as soon as possible.

By the late game, this is the time to finalize the composition. The essential requirement is to have Jayce and even upgrade him to level 2 if possible. If there is a core that provides a Sorcerer emblem, give it to Zilean and sell Lulu; otherwise, using 3 Sorcerers will be sufficient. The completed composition at level 8 includes: Jayce – Vi – Jinx – Taric – Orianna – Janna – Zilean – Seraphine (or Lulu if playing 4 Sorcerers).

Strengths and Weaknesses
The strength of this composition lies in the quality of each unit on the board. With Riot adjusting the champions to match the power they bring, the 4 and 5 gold champions are now truly terrifying. Not to mention, Jayce is a damage dealer who doesn’t need damage items; he just needs to be tanky enough.
However, the weakness of this composition is that it requires players to focus and hyper-roll frequently. While it does not rely heavily on Technology Emblems, it still carries significant risk if the champions do not reach the necessary levels to effectively “carry the team.”

Overall, Jayce Blademaster – Sorcerer is not a particularly novel composition and has proven its effectiveness in the past. Currently, while waiting for season 6.5, players can “nostalgically” enjoy this composition while still achieving certain results.
