In the current version, compositions revolving around Kayle, Olaf, and Tryndamere seem all too familiar to Teamfight Tactics players. These are strong compositions but heavily rely on attack speed to deal the best damage. This has led top players to realize that the Master trait is exceptionally suitable for countering the current meta. It is the only class that can reduce the attack speed of opponents.
To synergize with the Master trait, the Butcher units are the most suitable. Essentially, you only need 3 Butcher units to deal a significant amount of damage. This will help you save quite a bit of gold when transitioning your composition towards the end of the game. This is crucial because Master units are not cheap at all. You can also flexibly choose between the two 4-cost Butcher units, Tryndamere and Olaf, so players won’t have to worry too much about competing for their carry with others.
In the early game, you should buy units from the Cultist trait to effectively maintain your health. The advice is for players to purchase the Ace champions that provide tankiness in the early game to ensure victory. Pyke is also a unit you need to buy in the early game as it will be linked with this composition until the very end.
By the mid-game, you should look for 3-cost champions like Sivir and Kalista to serve as your carries. Besides their damage output, they are perfect for holding items for stronger carries later in the game. If you receive too many Wooden Bows, make sure to combine them for Kalista as soon as possible. Sivir will be more valuable in matches where players can combine many critical items.
In the case of Irelia, you should buy this unit as early as possible to save gold for the late game. Additionally, Irelia also helps your composition become much sturdier with her excellent stats.
By the late game, after reaching level 8, players should look to roll for essential units like Olaf/Tryndamere and Samira. Versatile champions like Yone and Zilean are also very important for this composition as they help your Butchers deal damage more effectively. If you encounter a strong Sentinel composition, Lee Sin is a valuable addition to take down that team comp.
Regarding item building, the two main carries of this composition, Samira and Tryndamere, will have the same itemization. For them, critical items like Infinity Edge, Giant Slayer, and Guardian Angel are essential. If you choose to play around Olaf, items like Rapid Firecannon, Justice Punch, and Runaan’s Hurricane are the most suitable.
Another unit you should invest in during the late game is Yone. This unit can become a relatively stable magic carry if you encounter a strong Vanguard composition. Items like Hextech Gunblade and Morello’s Evil Tome will help Yone deal damage extremely effectively.
