In his latest tutorial video, RobinSongz mentioned the Jax – Knight team as an effective way to climb ranks in case you can’t compete for other carries. Let’s explore this composition!
According to RobinSongz, the greatest strength of the Jax – Knight composition is its astonishing durability. With the damage mitigation from the Knight trait and the high armor from the Guardian trait, Jax will be very hard to take down even at 1-star. This annoyance allows players to maintain a lot of health with the Jax – Knight team during the money-saving stage to level up to 8. To make Jax even more troublesome, you should equip recovery items like Bloodthirster for this unit.
An ideal starting composition for Teamfight Tactics players would be Olaf, Irelia, and any Warrior unit. If you can purchase Senna or Pyke at level 4, this composition becomes even stronger with 3 Warrior and 3 Guardian bonuses. You should also not overlook affordable yet quality Knight units like Leona, Poppy, and Nautilus during this stage.
By the mid-game stage, what you should do is bring Knight units onto the field to bolster your team’s tankiness. If you are lucky enough, activating the 4 Knight bonus with Galio at level 7 will provide a tremendous power spike. If you can’t get Galio, Poppy remains a good choice for the front line. Additionally, players should use Udyr or Nidalee to hold items for Jax during the mid-game.
At level 8, players should roll heavily to complete the composition by adding Rell, Jax, and Galio. Jax will play the role of the main damage dealer, so players need to prioritize upgrading this champion to 2-star as soon as possible. The only 5-cost champion that RobinSongz recommends using is Garen to replace Leona in the late game.
As mentioned above, the first item you need to create for Jax is Bloodthirster to help this champion survive as long as possible. Following that, most items that increase attack speed and AD like Runaan’s Hurricane, Infinity Edge, Giant Slayer, and Bow of the Green… are suitable for Jax. However, RobinSongz advises against building Guinsoo’s Rageblade since Jax already has a lot of attack speed from his ability.
