The Power of the Zed – Veigar Playstyle
It wasn’t until the end of Season 9 that players started to recognize the immense power of the Champion Veigar. Being constantly provided with the Cybernetic Augment at round 2-1 from Veigar significantly boosts the damage output of the team composition.
Furthermore, a skilled player known as Hanchanmuffin discovered that this augment interacts exceptionally well with Void champions. This led him to develop a “unique” yet effective playstyle combining Zed as the main carry and the Champion Veigar.

Building the Zed – Veigar Composition
In the early game, players should start with a 3 Ionia setup combined with Warwick. This is an excellent framework for maintaining health and even securing a win streak if strong items drop. A small tip during this phase is to avoid using a 1-star Zed, as this unit is quite weak until upgraded.

By mid-game, players should add Ekko and other Butcher units to increase Zed’s damage output. At level 6, players should stop buying experience and start Rolling to upgrade Zed to 3 stars. Ekko should also be prioritized at this stage to add damage to the composition.

In the late game, Aatrox and Shen are the best upgrades players should add to the composition. They will increase the durability of the team and create space for Zed to deal damage more effectively. If enough gold is available to reach level 9, then Senna is a great addition to enhance Zed’s survivability.

As for item choices, Zed will need Bloodthirster, Infinity Edge, and Giant Slayer. With the constant selection of the Cybernetic Augment from Veigar, Infinity Edge is no longer a top priority for Zed. Players should also equip Ekko with Infinity Edge, Stormrazor, and any spellcasting item.
Conclusion
With the burst damage potential from the Cybernetic Augment, Zed can quickly eliminate the enemy’s main carry and help the player secure victory. The combination of Zed and the Champion Veigar promises to be an incredibly effective ranking strategy in the late stages of Season 9.
