Riven
Although an essential unit in the Legion composition, Riven often plays a supporting role, filling in for the system while allowing other pieces to shine. As a result, players often overlook the immense carry potential of this champion. With Riven’s skill increasing her attack damage by up to 90% at 2 stars, she can deal significant damage during the mid-game. Not to mention, her Divine trait grants Riven powerful healing abilities.

With the high attack speed provided by the Legion set, you don’t need to equip attack items for Riven to deal effective damage. Instead, items like Warmog’s Blood Armor, Quicksilver, or Giant’s Power will allow Riven to survive longer in fights and maximize her damage output. If you’re playing a Legion team and can’t upgrade Mordekaiser to 2 stars, focusing your items on Riven is advisable to maintain as much health as possible.
Nocturne
In the meta of Teamfight Tactics season 5, if you acquire a B.F. Sword early on, the two carries often aimed for are Aphelios and Draven. However, these two units are fiercely contested among compositions like Legion, Doomsday, Archer, or Shadow. Thus, your chances of obtaining these units are quite low. The recommendation is to utilize Nocturne as a carry to take advantage of the power of items built from the B.F. Sword during the mid-game.

To play this composition effectively, you should look to acquire 2-3 strong tank units to draw enemy fire. Nocturne’s job is simply to jump towards the opposing carry alongside the Assassin lineup and take them down as quickly as possible. Ideal frontline units in the late game will be Volibear and Ivern to activate the 3 Spirit threshold with Nocturne. With the resurrection effect from the Spirit trait, you can stack full damage on Nocturne without fearing that this unit will be taken down too early.
Zyra
To say the least, Zyra is one of the most crucial units for magic damage dealing compositions at the moment. She serves as the primary damage dealer for players during the mid-game, before you manage to acquire Karma or Vel’Koz. Thus, to survive the tough early and mid-game phases, upgrading a Zyra unit early on is extremely important. Even if you don’t plan to play a Mage team, Zyra’s crowd control ability remains exceptionally strong.

In terms of items, the Power Chalice is currently the most suitable item for Zyra. This item allows Zyra and other Mage units to deal significantly more damage, thus creating a strong snowball effect in the mid-game. Additionally, you need to pay attention to Zyra’s positioning to ensure she casts her spell accurately. Essentially, Zyra will always cast her crowd control ability towards the furthest opponent, so you need to position her away from the enemy team’s carry.
