Staff of the Divine
Basically, the Staff of the Divine has never been a weak item in Teamfight Tactics season 7. However, prior to patch 12.13, it was difficult to stack this item as the speed of the rounds was too fast due to the overwhelming strength of physical carry champions and Assassin compositions. As a result, the Staff of the Divine became a situational item, appearing only when players were not up against strong Assassin players.

Moving into patch 12.14, Riot has significantly reduced the scaling damage potential of champions. Consequently, the playstyle revolving around physical carries and Assassins (especially 3-star characters) has weakened considerably. This will slow down the pace of battles, allowing players to stack the Staff of the Divine more easily. Combined with the dominance of magic carries, this item quickly becomes extremely powerful.
Morello’s Evil Tome
Many past seasons of Teamfight Tactics have proven that versatile items hold tremendous power. Therefore, whenever Riot buffs a versatile item, it will immediately have a negative impact on the overall gameplay. Notable past examples include the introduction of the Power Chalice or the rework of the Trap Claw. In patch 12.14, Riot has decided to repeat this mistake by increasing the skill damage stats for Morello’s Evil Tome.

Simply put, with its provision of 50 skill damage, Morello’s Evil Tome is currently the second-highest item providing this stat after the Sorcerer’s Hat. However, Morello’s Evil Tome also adds healing reduction and powerful damage over time effects. Therefore, it will help your carries eliminate targets quickly and easily. In summary, if you are playing a magic carry with area-of-effect skills, be sure to combine Morello’s Evil Tome as soon as possible.
Silence Cloak
Perhaps in the history of Teamfight Tactics, there has never been a version where players combined or acquired Silence Cloak as much as in patch 12.14. The simple reason is that this item counters many strong compositions currently in play. With characters like Aurelion Sol and Ao Shin having high energy stats, Silence Cloak is an effective tool to prevent them from casting their spells too early and “blowing up” your team.

A small tip for using Silence Cloak is that you should not combine it too early for your champions. At the beginning of each round, there will be about a 2-second wait, and you should equip Silence Cloak to champions at this time to ensure that the effect of this item is maximized. You should also spread your team evenly across the width of the battlefield to allow flexibility in equipping Silence Cloak to your champions.
