Infinity Edge
Theoretically speaking, Kayle remains one of the most powerful carries in Teamfight Tactics. However, the nerf to this champion in patch 11.6b has made Kayle no longer as dominant, capable of “doing it all” like before. Moreover, this champion is highly contested among players, making it extremely difficult to upgrade Kayle to 2 stars. This results in Kayle’s “signature” items, including Infinity Edge, losing their former strength.

Furthermore, using Infinity Edge will position your champion the farthest from the enemy team. Don’t think this is a safe position; Infinity Edge merely makes the carry an easy target for Aurelion Sol. With the need to hold damage and attack speed items, your carry rarely survives two casts from Aurelion Sol and is easily taken down. This item may only be strong if there are no Mage players in the match, which is a rare occurrence.
Morello’s Evil Tome
The truth is that very few champions in Teamfight Tactics Season 4 can effectively utilize the power of Morello’s Evil Tome. Aside from Kennen and Morgana, no other champions maximize the potential of this item. Even with Morgana, many pro players opt for items like Sorcerer’s Hat or Jewel Gauntlet to increase direct damage rather than apply effects with Morello’s Evil Tome.

Not stopping there, the fact that Riot allows tank champions to hold multiple Warmog’s Armor makes Morello’s Evil Tome “thrown aside”. Warmog’s Armor proves to be a much easier item to use than Morello’s Evil Tome since all tank champions can utilize this item effectively. Moreover, this item can be crafted very early, helping players secure long win streaks and ensure ample gold and health. In contrast, you should only build Morello’s Evil Tome when you have Kennen or Morgana.
Giant Slayer
With the Vanguard – Legend composition being buffed in patch 11.6b, the Yasuo – Duelist team can no longer hold its position in the meta. The weakness of the Yasuo – Duelist composition is its lack of access to the backline of opponents. Therefore, when facing a team with an excessively tanky frontline, the Yasuo – Duelist team struggles to win. This has also led to Yasuo’s “signature” items, including Giant Slayer, no longer being as strong as before.

An inherent weakness of Giant Slayer is the randomness between its two effects: increased damage and providing healing. As Yasuo is no longer “the unrivaled one” and other champions like Xayah, Aurelion Sol, and Shyvana have better options, the weaknesses of Giant Slayer become even more apparent. Naturally, no one wants to bet their victory on a random item like Giant Slayer, so this item is no longer favored at this time.
