Yordle
With an abundance of tools supporting free rerolls and champion upgrades, the Yordle composition has become slightly unbalanced. The ease of upgrading Tristana or Teemo to 4 stars makes Yordle an extremely powerful tool for climbing ranks. Therefore, in the upcoming patch 13.13, the Teamfight Tactics development team will nerf the Yordle composition.
Specifically, the number of attacks required to activate Tristana’s 4-star skill for additional damage increases from 8 to 10. Additionally, the damage from Teemo’s abilities will be significantly reduced at all levels. This change promises to help the Yordle composition become more balanced in the next patch.
Ekko as the Carry
With his strong single-target burst damage and significant healing, Ekko is currently an incredibly annoying carry. Therefore, in the upcoming patch 13.13, Riot will reduce Ekko’s healing ability from 30% to 20% of the damage he has taken.
This change promises to make Ekko easier to eliminate instead of having the strong survivability he currently possesses. This will also create significant issues for the Ekko carry playstyle mid-game, as he can be quickly taken down by other reroll compositions like Zed and Darius.
Zeri and Friends
In patch 13.13, Riot made a major change regarding Zeri’s power. Specifically, this champion will no longer refresh the duration of her skill when she eliminates an enemy champion. In return, the duration of the ability will increase by 1 second, but the damage from her electric beam at levels 1 and 2 will be reduced.
This adjustment greatly reduces Zeri’s ability to continuously eliminate opponents in the late game. As a result, the Zeri – Sniper composition appears to be much weaker in the upcoming patch. In fact, this composition could even be pushed out of the group of the strongest team setups in the future.
Conclusion
In various ways, the Yordle, Ekko carry, Zeri and friends compositions have all been heavily nerfed in patch 13.13. It seems that Teamfight Tactics players should avoid using these compositions to climb ranks in the near future.
