For gamers from the late 80s and early 90s, the game Silk Road is no stranger. Once a popular game, Silk Road attracted a large number of players. However, when this legendary game ceased operations, many players were left disappointed.
But the players of the legendary Silk Road from years ago have received good news. At a press conference, VTC Game launched the Silkroad Origin beta version and officially announced itself as the exclusive publisher of this role-playing game in Vietnam. The official version will be released in July 2023 and will retain the name Silkroad Origin along with its original content.
The event also featured a signing ceremony between the publisher and representatives from seven clubs with the largest number of Silk Road players, including: Hanoi Club, Ho Chi Minh City Club, Hai Phong Club, Thai Nguyen Club, Hai Duong Club, Bac Ninh Club, and Bac Giang Club.
Additionally, according to VTC’s representative, with the product Silkroad Origin, VTC Game expects to make breakthroughs that contribute significantly to the digital economy of Vietnam. The publisher also commits to actively implementing events, community activities, as well as organizing tournaments and offline meet-ups to connect the Silkroad Origin community nationwide.
Furthermore, VTC Game emphasizes its exclusive publishing role for Silkroad Origin to combat the rampant piracy in the market. Mr. Nguyen Hung Cuong, representative of Silkroad Origin VTC, stated: “VTC Game holds the product copyright and is the only entity authorized by Wemade Max to publish in Vietnam. In the near future, we will prioritize community development and will take clear actions, closely coordinating with relevant authorities to address serious copyright infringement issues of Silkroad Origin VTC in Vietnam”.
With the information revealed, there is hope that this will be a new game that offers modern elements while allowing veteran players to enjoy moments of relaxation and nostalgia about the legendary Silk Road of yesteryear.
