On the morning of October 3rd, T1’s social media announced the new jersey design that this team will use at the upcoming World Championship 2021. This is a product sponsored by Nike for the team and designed according to the theme colors of the highest level tournament in the League of Legends scene, which will officially kick off in Iceland in just a few days.

This is also seen as an innovative outfit for T1. For the first time in history, the most successful team in the World Championship will don a completely white jersey with a shimmering gold logo on the chest. The names of the sponsors are printed on the sleeves and shoulders, while the text “SKT 5GX” is placed just above the logo. Right in the middle of the “SKT 5GX” text and the T1 logo are three stars symbolizing the team’s three World Championship victories. Traditionally, T1 (formerly known as SKT T1) has been very familiar with red-white or white-black jerseys (white-blue in Season 5) and has never had a jersey with a single dominant color like the upcoming World Championship.
However, perhaps due to the unfamiliarity, the new jersey has received quite a bit of mixed feedback from T1 fans. Some even claim that Nike has been quite “lazy” as they seemingly took the entire design from Rare Atom, made slight changes, and turned it into T1’s new jersey. Some fans even played the “spiritual system” card by linking the jersey’s logo colors to the World Championship logo colors and thinking this “cannot be a coincidence.”

However, many T1 fans have expressed that they like this new jersey color and hope that this completely new color will represent a new face, ushering in a successful new generation for T1.

In the upcoming World Championship 2021, T1 is placed in a tough group with the defending champions of the LPL Summer 2021 – EDward Gaming. Nevertheless, T1 fans still believe that the team can achieve good results and advance deep into this year’s biggest League of Legends tournament. For Faker, this will be his first return to the World Championship after two years for the “Demon King”; his time is running out, and the mid-laner from T1 will certainly try 200% to fulfill the dream of winning the fourth World Championship trophy before “laying down his sword.”
