A T1 superstar becomes the center of controversy after the loss to DK at LCK Cup 2025
In the opening match of the LCK Cup 2025, T1’s new lineup faced a formidable opponent, Dplus KIA. Coupled with the Fearless Draft mode, along with various objective and subjective reasons, T1 had a disappointing start to their LCK Cup journey, losing with a score of 1-2. Among them, the performance of superstar Doran particularly drew attention.

On various platforms, LCK fans erupted in debate over T1’s superstar. Some claimed that Doran did not effectively utilize the resources provided by his teammates. “Seeing Jax’s damage sometimes even lower than Poppy’s (Oner) in team fights made me realize that Doran’s weaknesses have returned,” remarked one fan.
However, most T1 fans expressed support for Doran and the entire lineup despite the team’s poor performance. One fan commented: “They just played together officially for the first time, and the training conditions were not ideal. They just need to try harder.”

T1’s Issues Are Not New
In fact, it is not surprising that T1 struggled against DK at the LCK Cup 2025. Firstly, T1 in the LCK is always very different from T1 in the World Championship, and their ups and downs are normal. Furthermore, this is a lineup competing together for the first time in a completely new mode, with many new mechanics added to League of Legends. Experiencing hiccups is understandable.

In addition, League of Legends is a 5-player game, and DK is not a weak team either. Not only Doran but all four other members must also share the responsibility for this loss. T1 still has many opportunities at the LCK Cup, and the reigning World Champion of 2024 can completely turn the situation around in the upcoming matches.
