Just a few days away, the LCK Spring 2022 finals will officially take place with a showdown between two teams: T1 and Gen.G Esports. Besides determining the new champion of LCK Spring 2022 after DWG KIA’s elimination, as well as securing a spot at MSI 2022, this final holds historical significance. Two former World Champions will face each other, with T1 aiming for the record of being the first team to achieve the most perfect season in League of Legends history. Meanwhile, Gen.G must prove that they are the highest quality star-studded lineup in the LCK right now.

During the group stage, fans had no chance to witness high-quality matches between T1 and Gen.G. The reason being that while T1 swept through all the teams, there were certain periods when Gen.G did not have their strongest lineup due to the impact of COVID-19.
However, in the upcoming finals, unless any unexpected situations arise, both teams will certainly bring their best lineup. Therefore, regardless of which team wins, this can be considered the most anticipated final in the League of Legends scene right now. One side is the “undefeated king” of the League of Legends world, and the other is the team challenging that record.

Nevertheless, with their current performances and rising form, all T1 players are very confident about a victory for their team. In a recent statement, Faker predicted that the team could win with a score of 3-1. However, his “nephew” Gumayusi is even more confident: “If we don’t make mistakes and stay focused, the score will be 3-0.” Notably, Gumayusi made this statement even before the semifinal match between DK and Gen.G took place. Additionally, Coach Polt also predicted a 3-0 in a recent press conference.
With their spirits high, the confidence of T1 members is completely justified. However, Gen.G remains a strong team, and surely, the League of Legends community is looking forward to a final that will be thrilling and exciting, worthy of what fans expect in the most important match of LCK Spring 2022.
