T1 Sets a Huge Record, Doran Makes a Notable Statement
Recently, T1 achieved a dominating 3-0 victory against their opponent Top Esports from LPL in the second semifinal of the 2025 World Championship. The win for T1 was somewhat predictable, but the one-sided nature of all three matches surprised many viewers. There was no resistance from TES, and T1 quickly wrapped up their match. In fact, if it weren’t for a “tech pause,” the semifinal might have been even shorter.

Notably, in the post-match interview, Doran admitted: “In the past, I often felt stressed about the outcome of each match. I couldn’t focus on what was coming next. But after joining T1, I’ve seen how mentally tough and strong my teammates are. I’ve learned a lot from them. Thanks to that, I’ve been able to reach the finals of the World Championship.”
With the victory over TES, Doran is also participating in the finals of a World Championship for the first time in his career. Furthermore, this is the first time he is competing in a World Championship wearing the colors of a team that was not considered a strong candidate for the championship title when entering the tournament, since joining Gen.G. In previous instances, while playing for Gen.G or HLE, those teams dominated the LCK and were expected to dominate the World Championship.

T1 Reaches the Finals but Cannot Be Complacent
Although the World Championship can be seen as T1’s “home ground,” they cannot underestimate KT based on their recent performances. KT has previously defeated T1 in Rounds 3-5 of the 2025 LCK, and they are an opponent that knows T1 very well having faced each other numerous times over the years.

Glory is within reach, the spirit has been tempered, and T1 is just one BO5 match away from achieving the greatest record in League of Legends history.
