The victory against Gen.G Esports in the second semifinal of the 2021 LCK Summer Split marked an important milestone for T1, as they officially secured their return to the Worlds stage after nearly 700 days since the 2019 World Championship.
For Faker, Teddy, Cuzz, and even Keria, participating in Worlds is an experience these players have already had. However, for the rest of T1 – the younger stars like Canna, Oner, and Gumayusi… this will be their first time experiencing this monumental moment in their careers. Therefore, it’s no surprise that the entire T1 team celebrated as if they had just won the championship after their match against GEN.
However, this moment of celebration was also blended with a comedic mishap from the jungler Oner. At a time when his teammates and coach were jumping and laughing in joy, the camera caught Oner displaying a very different “attitude,” looking contemplative and somewhat unhappy.
If you were only following through the live broadcast, many might mistakenly think that this guy was having some kind of internal conflict with his teammates. Of course, that’s impossible at this moment, and in fact, Oner just happened to miss the wave of celebration for a rather “silly” reason. According to footage from backstage, at that moment, Oner suddenly told his teammates and coach: “I lost a tooth.” And while everyone was celebrating, he was busy… looking for his tooth.

Upon hearing this news, not only his teammates present at the time but also T1 fans were taken aback, both amused and worried, because suddenly “losing a tooth” could be a sign of health instability for the player, rather than just a “tooth lost in celebration” after a victory.
It seems Oner also realized the fans’ concern after the incident, as he immediately took to Instagram to clarify the situation:

“Regarding the incident where I said I ‘lost a tooth’ at the arena, I didn’t mean my real tooth. It was my braces that came off after the match…”
At this point, fans were relieved by Oner’s “false alarm,” but also completely at ease knowing… no actual teeth were lost.
Along with T1 securing their spot at Worlds, the question of who will be included in this tournament is also making fans ponder. Oner seems like a guaranteed name to be in the main lineup, as he has been a regular player for T1 since the start of the summer split. However, the possibility of some names like Cuzz, Clozer, Ellim, or Gumayusi having to sit out will leave many fans feeling disappointed.
