T1 must meet 2 important conditions to win against BLG
After a somewhat easy match to regain their winning feeling at CKTG 2024, the draw has made it difficult for T1. Their next opponent is Bilibili Gaming – a name that can also be considered “entangled” with T1. Throughout 2023 to now, T1’s journey in international tournaments has often featured BLG. Except for CKTG 2023, the LPL representative has always had good results against T1 (in 2 consecutive MSI tournaments). Currently, BLG seems to be stronger than their performance at CKTG 2023. Meanwhile, T1 appears to be weaker than last year.

However, there are valid grounds for T1 to achieve victory against BLG. Nonetheless, Faker and his teammates must fulfill 2 important requirements. First, the players’ performance must be at the highest possible level, and they cannot afford to make mistakes. A small error when facing strong teams can be costly for either side. The second requirement is that T1 must choose the Blue side. In all of T1’s matches against BLG, except for CKTG 2023, they have won all games when they were assigned to the Blue side.

T1 has not completely regained their winning feeling
Against a very weak opponent like PaiN Gaming, T1 certainly could not lose. However, it is difficult to say that Faker and his teammates have truly regained their winning feeling. PNG is an extremely weak opponent, and T1’s players did not have to perform at 100% of their ability and skill to secure the victory. Therefore, the match against BLG will be a real test for T1’s ambitions, following their recent match against Top Esports.

At this moment, it is difficult to place full trust in Faker and his teammates’ victory, and this is also just a BO1 match. However, if they can make BLG “suffer”, it would not only benefit T1’s journey in CKTG 2024 but also help Faker and his teammates truly find their rhythm in this year’s tournament.
