Finally, the goal of Faker has been accomplished, and the anxieties of T1’s young stars after the finals against DRX have been relieved. T1 has officially claimed the championship title of Worlds 2023 after defeating Weibo Gaming in the finals. The 2023 Worlds championship also allows T1’s players to establish a series of new achievements and records in the history of the team as well as in the League of Legends scene in general.

However, after the finals concluded, the main concern of T1 fans and a topic of interest in the global League of Legends community is the future of the current roster. As mentioned, before the season started, Gumayusi revealed that this could be the last Worlds for this lineup to play together. Oner himself also mentioned a similar situation just before the Swiss round began. This is completely understandable as T1 has faced many empty-handed tournaments and the contracts of the players have reached their expiration.

Recently, SofM also brought up a similar story with a status update after T1 won against WBG: “Can T1 keep all five players for the new anime?” This is certainly a question that the audience is very concerned about.

According to some continuously updated information from Korean media, both Zeus, Gumayusi, and Keria have stated that they have not made an official decision yet, but the players will consider and discuss thoroughly with T1. Gumayusi, in particular, expressed quite a bit of optimism as he confirmed that he “really loves his teammates and T1.” These are also three players who can be said to have performed exceptionally well, significantly contributing to T1’s success at the recently concluded Worlds.

There are some concerns that, as players who just won the Worlds and are still very young, T1’s stars will increase in value. In the context of LCK also imposing salary cap limits, this will make it difficult for T1 to sign new contracts with the current players.

However, T1 fans can be completely assured that one of the conditions previously mentioned for the players to continue playing together has been met: the championship title. Surely, in the near future, T1 will finalize their roster, and it is very likely that the “five main characters of the anime” will continue to accompany each other for at least one more season.
