On November 6th, DRX made history in League of Legends by defeating T1 to claim the world championship. DRX is the first team in the history of the World Championship to come from the Play-In stage and still win this prestigious title.

For T1, this is an unfortunate defeat as they also performed very well in the finals. In fact, the AD Carry player, Gumayusi, played a pivotal role in leading T1 with incredible Baron steals. Perhaps Gumayusi was the best player on T1 in the 2022 World Championship finals.

After the match, Gumayusi expressed tremendous regret that his efforts could not help T1 secure victory. Gumayusi shared that his Baron steals would soon be forgotten by the audience since T1 was not the champion of the 2022 World Championship.
“When I stole Baron from DRX, I thought this was my lucky day. However, we ended up losing and only came in second. As a result, those efforts will soon be forgotten by the audience, which makes me feel extremely regretful,” Gumayusi shared.

For the T1 players, this defeat is indeed very unfortunate as they gave their all in the recent finals. However, this loss is necessary for young players like Zeus, Oner, Keria, and Gumayusi to gain more experience and resilience. Hopefully, Faker and his younger teammates can come back stronger in the upcoming 2023 season.
