JackeyLove is also concerned about T1's loss to Gen.G in the LCK Spring Finals 2023.

The finals of the LCK Spring 2023 have concluded, with an unexpected victory for Gen.G. With this championship, Gen.G not only successfully defended their LCK title but also proved they truly know how to surprise. T1 may have lost, but that doesn’t diminish the value of Faker and his teammates. Certainly, both teams are still expected to aim for glory at the upcoming MSI 2023.

As the finals of one of the most exciting professional League of Legends tournaments in the world, combined with the presence of T1 and Faker, even regions beyond were keenly interested in the result of the match. Indeed, Gen.G’s decisive victory over T1 left the League of Legends community stunned. Especially considering that throughout the Spring season leading up to the finals, Gen.G had never once defeated T1, whether in the group stage or playoffs.

After watching the final between T1 and Gen.G, JackeyLove – the renowned AD Carry from the LPL commented: “They have a 17-game win streak but still come in second? We once won 18 consecutive games, but still ended up 4th in the playoffs. Spring doesn’t really matter; as long as you have Championship Points, it’s fine. Just need to try harder in Summer.”

In reality, JackeyLove is one of the players who understands the feeling of being highly rated but then “falling hard and painfully.” During his time with Invictus Gaming, his team had an undefeated record but had to exit early in Spring after losing to Royal Never Give Up. In the Summer of the same year, they still achieved 18 wins (not consecutively) and ended up second. But ultimately, IG claimed victory at Worlds 2018, ushering in an era for LPL on the global stage.

T1 will certainly not be satisfied with the runner-up result in LCK Spring 2023. However, this will serve as a necessary stepping stone for them to come back stronger at the upcoming MSI, just as they did after being defeated by Gen.G in LCK Summer 2022.
