T1 Defeats Gen.G, Fans Take the Chance to Roast Clid: ‘Did You Leave to Win Trophies or to End Up with 3 Losses?’

The wave of criticism directed at Clid resurfaces after T1 once again takes down Gen.G Esports.

The most classic showdown of the LCK Spring 2020 between T1 and Gen.G Esports once again ended with a victory for Faker and his teammates.

The score of 2-1 does not accurately reflect the dynamics of this matchup, as T1 completely dominated all three games.

In Game 1, Gen.G was the winning team, but it was truly an unbelievable comeback, primarily due to T1’s tactical mistakes when they rushed to attack the base and were countered by the opponents.

In the remainder of the match, having regained their composure, T1 demonstrated that if it comes to controlling the game, they remain the “undisputed” leaders in the LCK. The reigning champions completely outclassed the top team of LCK Spring 2020 – Gen.G, slowly gaining an advantage and then suffocating their opponents after just 1-2 skirmishes, completing their comeback with a 2-1 victory.

Although winning by a narrow margin, T1 actually dominated Gen.G completely for most of the three games

And now, as T1 once again triumphs over Gen.G, the deep-seated differences between the T1 fan community and former player Clid have reignited. Perhaps among the players who have left T1, few have faced such backlash from fans as Clid, following his comments comparing Gen.G and T1 in the past.

Of course, having chosen to leave T1 to join Gen.G, Clid likely believes that this team would be a better choice. However, expressing that sentiment has undoubtedly displeased T1 fans, especially since they had shown so much affection for Clid during his time with the team.

And now, as Clid’s Gen.G Esports is being “swept” by Faker’s T1 with three consecutive losses in the first half of the 2020 season (including matches at the KeSPA Cup), the most satisfied individuals are none other than T1 fans – those who see Clid as a “traitor”:

– Oh, I thought you left for a better team, how come it’s falling apart like this?

– Wow, even though Khan is gone and Mata has left too, there’s still an “old man” Faker here to teach the young ones some manners! (A jab at Clid’s statement that at Gen.G, players are of similar age and understand each other better than when at T1).

– Now you see: T1 helped Clid win titles, not the other way around.

– No matter what, Gen.G is still at the top of the standings, oh wait, but T1 specializes in taking down top teams. Looking at the situation in Game 3, it’s really “no hope” for Gen.G, if T1 hadn’t rushed in Game 1, it could have been a clean 2-0.

– It’s hilarious, leaving T1 and claiming it’s for career growth, then losing all matches in both rounds. Hope Clid shines in the Playoffs!

Despite winning the match, T1 still cannot rise to the top of the standings due to being behind Gen.G Esports in terms of game win-loss ratio. Nevertheless, the LCK Spring 2020 group stage still has a long way to go, so the opportunity to seize the top spot remains equally available for both teams.
