On August 16th (Vietnam time), a Media Day took place ahead of the final two matches of the LCK Summer 2023. Representatives from the three teams that still have a chance to compete for the LCK championship were all present. Among the three teams, statements from T1 and KT Rolster were, of course, of particular interest as these two teams prepare to face each other in the “Telecom War” for the fourth time, specifically in the LCK Summer 2023.

In their most recent encounter, T1 defeated KT with a score of 3-1. That was an unbelievable score, at least at that time when Faker had just returned and KT was in extremely high form. In fact, before facing KT, T1 had already played a match against another strong team, Dplus KIA. Therefore, the victory of Faker and his teammates was even more significant. This victory also marked the first time in LCK history that a team selected an opponent for the playoffs but was defeated by the very opponent they chose.

Therefore, in the upcoming rematch, T1 players have every reason to be confident. Coach Tom and Gumayusi predict that a score of 3-1 could be repeated in the upcoming match against KT. However, when discussing the finals (in case they win against KT), both were somewhat more modest and suggested a score of 3-2. This is exactly the score with which Gen.G defeated T1 in the winners’ finals of the LCK Summer 2023 playoffs.

However, the jungler Oner appears to be even more confident. He claims that both of T1’s upcoming matches will end with a score of 3-0 for T1. This can be considered quite an… unbelievable score. Because both KT and Gen.G are very strong opponents and both teams will certainly not allow T1 to easily impose their game.

But nonetheless, the confidence of T1’s members is necessary as they face incredibly important matches ahead. As Mata once remarked, T1 players need to regain their former confidence to prove they are indeed still a powerful force in the LCK and compete for titles.
