The story of kids confidently chatting all “gank tem” and then diving in with Yasuo to wreak havoc in the enemy formation is no longer strange. In fact, this has quickly become a meme in the Vietnamese League of Legends community and the world. However, in recent days, a new trend called “Vaybu” featuring the Night Hunter Vayne has emerged, aiming to dethrone Yasuo.

“Vaybu” is a sarcastic term for players who think that the champion Vayne is powerful enough to win every match-up, tormenting every enemy from Mages, Assassins, to Tanks… Just like some young players who auto-pick Yasuo, these “Vaybu” players often do not understand the champion’s mechanics and only watch highlights and montages online, thinking they can carry the entire team.

The origin of this concept came from a topic questioning Vayne’s match-up against a fully built Rammus, and a heated debate erupted when the “Vaybu” players claimed that not only that armadillo but every champion facing Vayne would lose. Since then, any social media post about tank champions or lane experience sharing has seen these “Vaybu” players commenting that Vayne can beat any champion.

Of course, Vayne in the top lane is nothing new; she can counter some melee champions quite well. However, to use Vayne in the top lane effectively, you need more than just pure skill; luck also plays a role when you find teammates who know how to play the game and create opportunities for you to shine.

The origin and development journey of “Vaybu” is quite similar to that of Yasuo fans in the past, who always thought that their champion could carry everything, and losses were merely due to teammates playing poorly. Perhaps it won’t be long before Vayne becomes comparable to Yasuo in the ‘troll team’ category and showing off.
