Since his release, Pyke has always been a popular choice in the Support position, and sometimes in Solo Lane within the ranked environment of League of Legends. With high damage output, great mobility, and incredibly high burst potential with his ultimate that executes low-health targets, Pyke can help your team snowball extremely effectively.

Not stopping there, Pyke’s unique feature is that when he executes a target with his ultimate, Death from Below, he also shares the bounty with his allies. In simple terms, when Pyke eliminates a target, he grants you an amount of gold equivalent to 2 kills instead of just 1 kill and an assist as before. This is an incredibly powerful tool for Pyke as he helps the whole team become rich very quickly and crushes the enemy team due to the economic disparity.

It is unclear whether Riot feels this gold-sharing mechanism is too powerful or for some other reason that they added a bizarre feature that enriches enemies with this champion. Specifically, according to players’ discoveries, when Pyke executes an opponent with his ultimate while that target is affected by Renata’s ultimate, a different enemy champion will receive the shared bounty.
This is clearly very unreasonable since Pyke’s ultimate explicitly states that he only shares bounty with allied support. Meanwhile, in the case mentioned, the allied champion who assisted in taking down Ezreal is Renata, who used her ultimate but gained no benefit at all. Could it be that Renata’s ultimate is counted as turning the enemy into an ally for a moment, which is why this unreasonable interaction occurs?

Whatever the reason, Riot should remove this somewhat unreasonable feature of Pyke as soon as possible. Indeed, no one wants to “screw” their teammates by sharing gold with enemies.
