Last night – September 23, the opening ceremony of ASIAD Hangzhou officially took place. For the Vietnam League of Legends team, players and coaches also attended this important event. Even Coach SofM had an emotional reunion with his former Suning teammate – Bin.

However, the South Korean League of Legends team was notably absent from the recent ASIAD opening ceremony. Faker and his teammates were highly anticipated at this event but ultimately did not appear. According to reports from South Korea, the reason for this is that the players are utilizing every moment to practice.

“The League of Legends players are training all day at a high intensity instead of participating in the opening ceremony. They are practicing in a specialized gym prepared near the Esports Stadium. All teams have been provided with private spaces to ensure privacy,” said a representative of the Korean Esports Association.

With the above statements, audiences can see that the League of Legends team is racing against time to prepare the best for ASIAD. Coach kkOma once mentioned that their training time is two weeks shorter than that of the LPL due to the LCK schedule. Therefore, it is understandable that the South Korean League of Legends players opted to skip the ASIAD opening ceremony to focus on practice.
