In the past, OMG was always seen as a “tasty snack” for Suning, but at this moment, their performance and ranking in the LPL Summer 2021 led many Chinese fans to envision a negative scenario for the lion pride.
However, everything unfolded in stark contrast to the fans’ predictions, as Suning executed a “total annihilation” of their favored opponents, despite the fact that they were 5 ranks below OMG on the leaderboard. On a day when both Bin and SofM were at their peak performance, SN continued to leave the community puzzled as to what their true face is: a team with a chaotic, disjointed playstyle filled with personal mistakes, or a team boasting players capable of explosive performances with stunning “big hands” plays?
The biggest impact that Suning’s players made in the match against OMG was that all three lanes surprisingly dominated their opponents. Both Bin and Huanfeng – ON had an excellent performance during the laning phase, while Angel also played his part well in the central position on the map.
And once all lanes had an advantage, SofM faced little pressure, allowing him to “freely” dance with his signature champion Lee Sin. Many Insec combos were executed by SofM in game 1, precise to the millimeter, leaving OMG’s carries with no chance to play.
Moving to game 2, it was Bin’s turn to shine with the champion Gwen. Champion strength was one part, but the rest was that Bin seemed to be regaining the necessary confidence after an impressive performance in the previous matchup against RNG.

It’s a bit unfortunate that after two consecutive victories, SN still couldn’t improve their position on the leaderboard. They remain in 10th place after 8 matches, but have closed the gap with the teams above them. The goal of making it to the playoffs is still feasible for SofM and his teammates, provided they maintain their current good form to secure as many wins as possible in the next stage of the season.
